When do you ride?
What speed and distance are club rides?
Routes range anywhere from 70km – 160km depending on ability and speeds, which can vary from 25-35kph+. We have a number of Ride Leaders to cater for different abilities and routes that go into the Surrey Hills, towards Windsor and Kent. A London to Brighton ride is also a club favourite.
How can I ride with the club?
Do I need to have a road bike?
Do I have to live locally to join?
Most of our members do live in South West London but we do accept members from anywhere! We even have some members who live further north and even Ireland!
How do I join the club?
After your introduction ride you will be invited to join the club and purchase a VSCC membership. Membership costs £30 per year.
You also need to register with British Cycling, with a Membership level, either RIDE, or RACE SILVER (or above).

Do you have many female members?
We currently have around 11 female members and a dedicated women’s chat group as well as 1 female member on the Committee.
What is the age range of the membership?
We have members from 18 to over 60. We do not accept membership if you’re under 18.
Does Velosport CC race?
We have members who compete at CTT time trials and in the Surrey League. We also have members who race on the Zwift platform in the WTRL Team time trials as well as weekday Crits.
Is there anything else I need before joining the club?
We ask for this for third party indemnity insurance. It covers the Club, other members and yourself if you cause or are involved in an accident. We accept British Cycling Ride as a minimum which gives you Liability Insurance and Legal Assistance.
